Tony Romanello & the Black Jackets bring a wall of guitars to The Colony
Mar. 27, 2013

The last time Tony Romanello & the Black Jackets played The Colony, it was a Thursday night in August and a lineup that included three guitars, a bass, four amplifiers and 31 effects pedals consistently overwhelmed the PA, making it a night of frustrations. This time out, Romanello and his crew are arriving ready and you can rest assured that the band won't be flustered by any sound system issues. This one will be a night of big songs and bigger guitar riffs and if the guitars overwhelm the vocals, so be it. After all, it's only rock & roll right? If anything, we're kind of hoping the PA will crap out by the end of the night and the evening will be driven by the guitars with a final Led Zeppelin riff marathon to close out the night. Band members will be pulling double duty this evening as Mike Taylor's Radio Wave Days finally gets some long overdue live exposure to open the show. Expect a long night and a ton of guitars and Romanello unleashed his WALL OF SOUND on The Colony for a night of fun. But if I don't hear "Communication Breakdown" or "Heartbreaker" before the night ends, I'll be sorely disappointed.
